Mountain experience vitality and nature

Hiking, power spots, alpine pastures, lifts and mountain panorama

With your eyes, you can enjoy magnificent views of the mountains and discover new colors. With your ears, you can listen to mountain streams or chirping birds while hiking, or simply enjoy the silence under the summit cross on the mountain. With your feet, you can feel the path under you on the hiking trail. With your hands, you can feel the diversity of nature.

Renewed strength when hiking

No, these are not advertising images, but simply photos from our smartphone that we took on our hikes in Thiersee. You can also experience these impressions live on vacation with us at the Aparthotel Buchauer Tirol. Experience nature and the unique mountain world, gather strength for everyday life and enjoy the natural spectacle.

Hiking trails and hiking maps

The many well-marked hiking trails can be explored on the hiking map before your vacation and the themed hikes can be planned – or you can simply ask us for advice on site. We also provide a free hiking map of the region.

Climbing and mountaineering

This sport requires endurance and strength. Whether you prefer climbing in nature or on an artificial climbing wall, the Morsbach climbing garden is just 5 kilometers from your accommodation in Thiersee. The climbing garden is open to everyone and free of charge. For an adventure in between, there is also the high ropes course!

Places of power in nature

Serviced mountain huts and Alpine summits

Between the countless paths, huts, mountain pastures and quaint old inns invite you to linger and chat.
  • Trainsalm – Höhlensteinhaus – Köglalm – Trockenbachalm – Ackernalm – Kala Alm – Pendling – Buchackernalm – Mariandlalm
  • Pendling 1.563m – Eishöhle 1.520m – Köglhörndl 1.645m – Trainsjoch 1.708m Thalerjoch 1.777m – Veitsberg 1.787m – Sonnwendjoch 1.986m.

Hiking trails of all levels of difficulty

A less challenging, but no less exciting option than hiking directly from the valley to the summit is to shorten the ascent a little. Hikes to some mountain huts and inns, such as the Kala Alm, the Pendling House or the Ackernalm, can be shortened a little by taking your own car.

The Kaiserlift and the Kaiser Valley

The Kaiser Valley in Kufstein is also very popular and on everyone’s lips for hikes of all levels of difficulty. With the lift, which is free with the Kufsteinerland guest card, you can silently float up into the untouched mountain world of the Wilder Kaiser. Once at the top, the picturesque Kaisertal awaits you, which is considered one of the most beautiful hiking regions in Austria. The hiking route through the Kaisertal is a designated nature reserve in the Kaiser Mountains.
